From watching the games on tv, it appears mutual. The diehard Boston fans hate the New York sports teams and diehard New York fans hate the Boston teams. Casual fans don’t seem to have that intensity.

I do wonder when (and why) this happened. I don’t remember the profanity and cursing at MLB games when I was a kid.

As I recall when I was a teen seeing NY baseball, the popular thing to yell out was Kill the Umpire, so we were dumb than too.

How much earlier do you want him to start playing??

He made his major league debut when he was 17. He only played in 113 games in his first five years (with 11 home runs) before becoming a starter in 1959. He hit 42 home runs that year.
