Excellent point - I've also discovered the on/off button on my computer.

Terrible loss for the Mets today. Really going into a tailspin. What a joke.

What's even worse is my team, the Orioles, they haven't played this bad since 1988. I hope they don't fire Buck Showalter, he's a great coach and have made them a decent team the last few years even when they don't spend the money. When you have the Yankees, the Red Sox and the Blue Jays in your division, it's not easy. The good thing right now is the hockey playoffs, my two favorites the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Washington Capitols are both still going good.

Are you sure it was a tugging and not just a test tickle? [old joke]

Are you serious from " Spitting, Scratching Their Crouch, " and the never ending time to the mound by the " Uniform Manager give me a break Plus the never ending Play Offs .....I'll take Soccer.

If the Red Sox are playing then I am watching, but I wish they would institute a pitch clock. Baseball is much more fun to watch when two fast working pitchers are playing (Chris Sale is a great example) The last couple of weeks I have not been able to find much the time to watch the Sox with either the Celtics or Bruins having a playoff game almost every day.

I rarely see anybody scratching their crouch [sic] anymore. The pitching coaches are now limited to the number of times they can come out to the mound. Some measures have been taken to speed the game up. But I think the time limit thing bombed.

You either love the game or you don't. I personally love the mechanics of the game, the fact that the ball remains in the hands of one team for a specific period of time (unlike soccer & hockey where it's constantly changing sides), and the color guys are interesting to listen to as they fill you in on the whys and wherefores of certain pitches and plays.

There really is a lot of cerebral, strategic element to the game. It's one of two team sports where I enjoy the sport itself so much I will watch any team playing.
Now... bring on the French Open!

Isn't it the Greatest when The Red Sox Play The Jankees! Life is good. I'm with you, I'll watch any game. Scratch away! You have to be looking for it to really notice it. They are not itchy their nervous.

Good point. I tend to tug on my ear when I'm nervous. hard to do that through a batting helmet.

Then of course in Baseball the so called " World Series " which of course it isn't any where near the World Series...especially who are the other countries competing ? Basically it is the USA Baseball Series . Routinely in the Olympics the USA does not do well in " Baseball " .

Soccer ( Football ) is on the other hand a " Genuine " World Championship .... every single country is involved from the offset ! As well as some other sports but NOT //// NOT " Baseball "

Don't really care what they call it. I like the game, and the fact that they call the championship something it's not is not going to change my love of the game. I personally don't care for soccer, because I don't care for a sport that involves playing with a ball but not using your hands. It having a true world championship is not going to make it a better sport in my mind, or cause me to like soccer over baseball.

And of course no baseball fan gives a hoot about any of this.

I watch it every day, all season, multiple teams. It's a strategic game. Slow? A bit. Fascinating? Definitely.
