Default granite company recommendation

I'm thinking of replacing my kitchen countertops with granite. Does anyone have a recommendation that is current - work done within the last year.

I had Granite Transformations do over all my counters. Kitchen and baths. Found the work outstanding and held to estimate and time schedule. If you are thinking of this type of work you need them to come in and explain the process. 407-218-5929

How long did it take them and how did it compare in cost to other companies?

I 2nd recommendation for Duncan Stone...they were very professional and did a wonderful job... I always check for recommendations before I buy plus I like to use a private company.. if you order from big box stores you are using their independant contractors , who I feel don't have the incentive to put their reputation on the line..Duncan Stone was a great recommendation for us.

Another satisfied customer of Duncan Stone. He has done granite in 3 homes for us and would use them again if ever doing another.

We used Solid Image in Leesburg and chose Quartz for it's hardness and low maintenance. Quartz does not need to be sealed and requires no special maintenance. We are very happy with it and the installation was flawless.

Stay away from black galaxy granite.(Not a company, but a type) Beautiful but shows everything, hand prints, crumbs.black galaxy granite - Bing images

We have a pretty brown granite now that you could park a tank on it and fall over it. Doesn't show a thing.

STOP. I do clean it after every meal.

Default StoneRise Granite, Ocala

We just had granite installed in the last month. I selected my granite from Ultimate on Rolling Acres. They recommended StoneRise in Ocala as the fabricator.

My granite was beautifully cut, after allowing my input during the layout. It was perfectly installed. And I was thrilled....until I noticed a natural flaw that had slipped by everyone. It was like running my fingernails across a fine tooth comb. It was just in one blob of beautiful pearly gray.

They sent the "counter crew" out to repair and after working for over 3 hrs, it was no better. It was unlike anything they had seen before. Natural striations in the rock that ran the full depth of the slab.

They ended up tearing out that whole run of granite from my dishwasher along my sink to my refrigerator.
They broke my Blanco SilGranite sink in the process.

BUT.....they were here the next day with a beautiful new sink, installed the beautiful new granite, which was perfect, and did not charge me a dime.

I know they lost $ on my job. I had purchased my sink from Wayfair because I could beat their price. So they had to replace the sink that I purchased elsewhere.

I only did my kitchen, but after their great customer service and standing behind their product and workmanship, I plan to do my 3 vanities and an alcove with them.

I was afraid I would have to live with this, as it is a natural defect. But I would have hated it every time I looked at it. James, their customer service guy would not let that happen. I never had to fight or beg for them to replace that run.

Fortunately they are a company with integrity and wanted their customer to be happy. After my experience, I would recommend them to anyone!

Home Depot. I don't trust small companies they could go out of buisness and take off with your money. With Home Depot if there is a problem or issue I can go straight to the store. We just had them do our granite and floors did a great job and fast.
