Default Lopez conditions good

15 of us golfed Lopez, Ashley to Torrey, yesterday and found the course in good shape. Tee boxes with substantial grass, fairways mostly good with some thin lies still, but grass starting to grow. Greens in good to excellent condition. The question we all had is, why can't the other championship courses maintain the quality Lopez has this winter?

Different grass on they greens and they were actually built correctly during their renovation unlike all the other courses during original construction in The Villages.

Glenview is in excellent condition, Tierra is in very good condition, Palmer is good, Cane is in very good condition! The reason is Lopez, Glenview, and Tierra have had new fairways and greens.

Lopez greens are very good but the fairways lack grass and are rock hard like most of the other courses. They will be fine when spring arrives.

They just spent millions redoing two of 18 hole courses. Not the upper crust County club where you have to pay thousands to be member and still pay to play. Over 650 holes at last count. Where else do you have that many options?

Played Tierra del Sol today. Phenomenal condition. Fairways, tees and especially the greens.

I completely agree. They closed Kenya down for repairs. Terrible shape.. I think they’re spending all their time and efforts on the course south of 44 unfortunately
