Thanks to ALL you posters! It is a comfort knowing you are "listening" to me even if you can't answer my question! I usually get good answers

I wish. Boobear and I will be down for a visit Aug 21, just a week. We have dibs on a lot in St. James and hope to start building early next year. Still we would like to meet some of the celebs on TOTV.

Some folks just like to talk, a lot. After awhile I just click past some posts knowing that they're probably just being chatty. With other posters I read every word, often more than once.

Then you are having better luck with TOTV than we are with congress.

Pls excuse me, I am hijacking the thread for a moment.

Jim: just curious...which lot in St James is yours? Our lot is 41, on Yankee Clipper Run; closing is 22 days away. We made a w/end run up to TV from SoFla to check on progress and to try to take care of a few move-in related issues.

Yes, I know. A pm would've been more appropriate but I presume that wannabes, soon-to-be and others in my situation can live vicariously through the post while frogs and snowbird owners can relate.

And my father has all the answers (or at least he thinks he does...) .

I send up a cheer when I hear someone has found their home in TV. I do live vicariously through your posts. Thank you for posting the good news about your upcoming closing.

Most of the time the . is the only to delete a posting. Sometimes we respond to a post and decide that what we are saying is wrong, harsh or not in the TOTV atmosphere of good taste. Since we are not allowed to delete our own posts so we use a . to basically delete the post.

It is also used to "bump" a post. That gets an old post back into the mix.

Default Lonely?

Perhaps those people (maybe I am one of 'em?) are just lonely, and the interaction with TOTV is their way of having a "family" to chat with.

Just to hear themselves talk.

FYI - The dot is used when someone posted something and then decided to delete it. Since we can't delete the entie post we just put a dot.

Whoops just realized Z already mentioned this.

Make believe I put a dot here
