He is an admired man of the cloth. I wouldn't be surprised if GOD forbid, Pope Benedict doesn't last much longer as he seems very frail.

I still think the Cardinals will select Peter Turkson who will the first black Pope.

I think he's just depressed over losing his red shoes.

Re: Cardinal Dolan...he was our Bishop in Milwaukee for years and we all loved him. His brother goes to our parish and I can't say enough good things about the family. He probably won't be named Pope but he would make a good one!

Gracie, Cardinal Dolan is a good old Irish boy from St. Louis. Unfortunately he won't have a chance in h--- of getting the nod for pope because he is an American. That being said he is the strongest voice the Catholic church in the USA has and he is a real person.

Check out this website. It's like a March madness to vote for who you think will be he next pope. Pretty funny, imho.

Default Cardinal Dolan- A Great Man

I agree with the other's who sing praise of this man. Also being from Milwaukee, I have seen how he pulled together a very fractured church from the previous Arch Bishop. He is a real person under the dressings of his office. Met him on several occasions and pray that he is given due consideration during the conclave! The church would grow under his papacy.

i think he would be perfect and perhaps could affect the same movement of the Holy Spirit in our country as Pope John Paul II did in Poland....however, my small mind has no idea of the plans of the Holy Spirit so best to stop speculating and pray for the conclave to be guided by Him! thanks Gracie, for the nice post....

He's got my vote. The best thing that could happen to the church.
