I agree with the suggestion to visit a few places. You might want to put St. George Episcopal Church in Spanish Springs on your list. We have friends who are active there, and it might be a fit.

There is also a new church start up at Colony Cottage Rec Ctr on Sundays.

Try Faith Presbyterian Church on 301 north of Rainy Trail.

Try to go to the "Amazing Grace Lutheran Church", pretty new to The Villages, but serves also Oxford and Wildwood. You'll find it at the Rainy Trail, Pastor Rockey.

Now I'm confused! I'm not sure why one would want to go to church at all if the Bible isn't taken "literally"!

There are many denominations that see the Bible as allegorical and not inerrant, and don't take it literally. But that would be a whole 'nother thread.

As a new Villaer we were looking for a nice little church. We found The First Presbyterian Church in Wildwood to be perfect for us. It has a great choir, interim minister and seems like a little friendly country church.

First Presbyterian Church of Wildwood is a very friendly small church that has one traditional service at 10:30 am -- no bands; no drums, but very good choral music.
