Any job for me
I work up North as an RN at a huge Cardiology office- 25 docs many many locations- but I work part time as a phone nurse currently -for the past 2 years. Before that I was 10 years at an OB/gyn office. Any idea if I could get a job there? Although, not sure, I would want to work, but need to keep the options open depending on when we can move.

I know that as of my last visit they were also using Meditech. |
in a perfect world.....
I would teach as an adjunct in the North for the fall semester, and in the South for the spring semester! I am not too worried (although maybe that is naive?). There must be some need for an experienced nurse with an MSN. I know there are several nursing programs in the area, and they all advertise for adjuncts on their website. Our target date keeps shifting, either 12/11 or 12/12! Glad to hear from other nurses! We use Meditech up North also.

Hi,
We just moved here, and since I have retired from Nursing, I don't know of any jobs, but if anyone want to start a nurse club (or if there is already one), I would like to join. I have been off work for about 7 years with fibromyalgia and a paralyzed diaphragm on the left side-pulmonary function tests show breathing about 47%. But I worked in a Level 1 Trauma Center for 20 in the Emergency Department. I also was a flight nurse for several years with our hospital helicopter. I left the ED and went to Endoscopy to be a conscious sedation nurse. Everyone loved the sedation nurse!!! :) I also worked as a preceptor in the ED, and then worked in Ambulatory Surgery as the educator before having to stop working. I had an identity problem when I had to leave work-I had always been a nurse. My husband called me a "SAKIAN" (smart as* know it all nurse) I am curious to know if anyone who has left nursing had a similiar reaction about leaving. |
Thanks. I just printed off the application for licensing in Florida. hope my dreams come true.

Still working
Hi all,
Nurse practitioner here (13 years, RN in ER, ICU, oncology for many years prior). Husband is an RN as well. We'll be visiting TV in Feb. for the first time. Since we won't be retiring for a few years (sadly!), we're both interested in looking for positions in the TV/area and possibly moving down earlier than we had originally anticipated. I'm an oncology NP. My husband was a cardiac nurse for several years but currently works in radiology. I'm getting mixed signals from the forum - some saying there are many open positions, others saying they are having difficulty getting an interview. Anyone know about NP positions in the area? |
in addition to Lisad's questions
Has anyone gotten a job at the hospitals before moving to TV? -- As in stating on your resume "relocating to The Villages" or telling them you're relocating? --- and I'm curious as to why there are so many RN positions on the Leesburg Regional Medical Center website. There are always a bunch of openings for RNs.
