The next meeting of The Villages Motor Racing Fan Club will be Wednesday, Aug. 2 at the Colony Cottage Recreation Center, going green at 7 p.m.

The guest speakers will be club members John and Carol Emms. They are "motorheads" with many years of experience in short track racing.

We will learn about Carol's son, Tony Hanbury, who has been racing Modifieds on asphalt in the northeast since 2001. Tony has achieved many successes, including the 2007 and 2008 State of New York championships in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series.

Club meetings are open to all Villages residents with appropriate Villages ID.
