Club ‘E’ Dance Live! starts Wed Sep 7 7:00-9:30pm, at Eisenhower!
Dance, socialize, or both! ('E' is for Eisenhower Rec Ctr) This is a fun, new Villages dance and social club, and is unique – a Villages first ever - in that it will feature only current (but not ‘rap’) pop music. Party lights; official music videos; nightclub / dance club atmosphere! BYOB/snacks

The first Club ‘E’ Dance Live! dance is Wednesday, September 7 at 7:00 PM at Eisenhower Recreation Center, 3500 Buena Vista Blvd, The Villages

New release pop songs that are leading the Billboard and other charts will be a focus of the club, and all songs played will be 2020-or-newer-released hits. Both fast and slow songs will be included. ('Rap'-type music will not be a feature of the club's music choices, though a few of the melodic, beautiful, catchy, danceable pop songs that might be played have brief ‘rap’ sections).

The dances will feature official music videos of all, or most, of the songs; displayed on Eisenhower's large stage screen. Current top pop artists will be briefly profiled.

The first Club ‘E’ Dance Live! dance is Wednesday, September 7
When: 1st Wednesday of each month
Where: Eisenhower Recreation Center, 3500 Buena Vista Blvd, The Villages
Type: Freestyle; and most of the songs' rhythms also lend themselves to some west coast swing, nightclub 2-step, rhumba, cha-cha, and other ballroom/partner dance styles
Cost: $4 per person; pay at the door Couples and singles are invited to this dance club. Though not required (feel free to just show up), if you want, text (502) 553-0241 or email freeda@lifeboost.com with your number of people attending, so that we have plenty of seating.
Time: 7:00 - 9:30 PM
Dress: smart casual, nightclub flashy fashion, or cocktail - whatever you like!
BYOB and snacks; some table treats will be provided
Raffles and other fun!
This club will meet year-round.

(Background info about Freeda and Doug Louthan. We live in the Village of Hillsborough, and have lived in The Villages full-time for 15 years; we moved here from KY, Freeda's home state; Doug was originally from Ohio. Freeda has practiced law in KY for 45 years; still practices there very parttime. Doug retired 15 years ago after 36 years in management with Ford Motor Co. We love dance, and current pop music (all other music, too; but current pop is our favorite). We are members of Les Debonaires ballroom dance club. Freeda got a music education degree from Eastern KY Univ in 1972, having played clarinet in band and orchestra since 4th grade. She also headed a Tahitian dance group in The Villages, and has also danced with The Villages Gypsies, and in hula and Chinese dance groups in The Villages. Doug is an avid golfer, playing several times weekly).
