Default Villages Camaro Club

If you are a Villager with a Camaro please think about joining our club. We meet the first Wednesday of every month at the Sterling Heights Recreation Center at 6:30PM, where we plan fun activities and discuss our cars. We also raise money for local charities.

I almost bought a new Camaro but it's too wide for a CYV garage. My last car and the one I just purchased, a Subaru Crosstrek are 71" wide and barely fit next to the golf cart in a 12' garage door. The Camaro was 75" and I would be afraid to scratch something that nice. I saw a 2017 50th Anniversary model with only a couple of thousand miles on it for $31,000. That's only comes in the dark metalic gray and red accent stripes and nice wheels and leather seats and a 6 cyclinder engine. If only my garage was bigger, here's the cheapest 50th Anniversary on Autotrader at the moment, $36,000 but it's brand new with only 1 mile.

We have a member in our club who has a golf car made to resemble this 50th anniversary model. Ours is a 78 Z28.

I love the 70's more than the 60's models. The closest I've come to driving one was in '72 I was stationed in Savannah and I shared a mobile home with another soldier. He had a '71 Orange Camaro with the side exhaust pipes and Hurst shifter. Without giving too much information, he couldn't drive on base, he lost his driving privileges and so for a year I drove his car and he drove mine. That's when I really fell in love with a Camaro. The only other encounter was actually I owned an '81 white T-top Corvette when new. Drove it to New York City one time for a week, that was some experience.

My husband ordered this Z right from the factory and is the only owner. Before we moved down here the first thing he did was check to make sure there was a Camaro club.

I found out about the club, I think back in March you had the cars at LSL. I was standing across from Paneras when they arrived. That's a nice looking bunch of cars and you really can't tell the 2010 from the 2015. However, I believe they shortened the car 5" in '16 or '17, but it's the width that's my problem.

Yes, I had to find a CYV with a 2 car garage.
