Default Villages Computer Club

Looking for information on computer problems then visit the VCP/VCC websites which include a guide/posted pdf (Getting the Most Out of the VCC?VCP Websites by Bob Walton) for the cancelled May 22nd VCC meeting
Finding a needed piece of information about a computer can be a frustrating task but fortunately great resources are available - namely the VCC and VCP websites (The VILLAGES COMPUTER CLUB Inc. - Home and The Villages Computers Plus Club - Home respectively). The current versions of the VCC/VCP websites are greatly improved over previous editions, as a consequence of a lot of very hard, high quality work done by Bob Walton and pdf versions of Bob’s talks (VCP March 19th, 2020 and VCC May 22nd, 2020 – now cancelled)are posted on the VCC/VCP websites in the presentation section of both websites. Major website content includes sections which provide a cornucopia of extremely valuable information. Just a few examples: Current and past presentations going back to 2016 – one mouse click on the blue colored link brings the user to the PowerPoint presentation slides for that talk. An extraordinary Self-Help section containing 12 separate sections starting with “HOW TO” and ending with “COMPUTER VENDOR SUPPORT INFORMATION”. Need a real phone number for Dell customer service, for example? It’s in there. Just try to get a legitimate Dell phone number by doing a Google search, lots of luck with that. Bob’s presentation will lead you thru a process that will enhance your understanding of what is on these sites, and how to take advantage of the wealth of information that’s out there. Just take a look.
