Default Wire Wrapping Club in TV ?

(First time poster ... so this may not be the correct Forum)

Is anyone one aware of a club in The Villages that does "wire wrapping."

I've looked through the list of clubs and activities (all 103 pages of listings...), but didn't see anything relevant.

Any suggestions?

Thx,
C

Welcome to TOTV. You posted in the right place and you are on the right track by checking the list of existing clubs.
What is wire wrapping ? I've never heard of it.
If you find 5 people who are interested in it, you can set up a club for it.
Good luck.

Wire wrapping is a form of jewelry making. You take a length of wire and wrap it around a stone or whatever you want, usually called a cabochon, and make a pendant. Some people just use wire to make a pendant or earrings or even just rings. My wife has done some, but would possibly be interested in doing some more.

Thanks for explaining. It sounds interesting.
It looks like they have a couple of jewelry making classes using this wiring technique at the Lifelong Learning College. The classes are listed under Crafts on about page 20 of this link.

Thanks for the info re College of Lifelong Learning ... a good lead.
Also, thanks for the Gem & Mineral club ... I'll make a note and try to stop by Seabreeze this Thursday.
(And thanks to the moderator who moved my post to the correct Forum.)
