Call Bob’ s TV repair
|
Now this is what you do. Try the resetting as mentioned above. If that doesn’t work go into another room and shut the door. Silently jump up and down for joy. When finished come out with a fake depressed look on your face and announce that you can’t believe that you have to buy a new TV. You won’t get any arguments. Oh yeah, keep this strategy for the future in case you want something else like a new car.

Replace it… for the most part today’s TV’s are costly to repair if even repairable! Get a Smart TV while you are at it.

Best Buy is a good place to buy a television. But I always check to see if the same TV is available at Sam's Club because of their return policy. Sam's Club has a 90-day return policy on electronics, but the Best Buy return policy is only 14 days. TVs often have a screen defect that you may not notice in 14 days. Examine the screen carefully when you first get it. Screen defects may bug you forever, but they are often not covered by the manufacturer warranty, and they cannot be fixed. So, you are stuck with a defective TV after the return policy expires.

Recommendations for LG TV service.
How disappointing. Thought thread was about where lesbians, gays and transvestites went to get a service. No, just boring old televisions!:icon_wink: |

Time for a new TV. Call Value Electronics 914-723-3344
They are authorized dealers for Sony, LG, and Samsung, same prices as Best Buy but you save on paying sales tax. Any problem they send you a new TV. Many in the Villages buy from them. I used to calibrate TVs for them for many years. Family owned and operated great technical support. |

If all the reset procedures don’t work and you have no red light for off mode then it’s the power board - my 65 2 year old Samsung broke and I ordered new power board from internet 60 bucks- put the tv on a bed and opened the back screws are not that bad …. Saved 1000 bucks….look on you tube for video on how to swap out power board……tv repair will charge you about 100 under replacement cost - don’t do it…

No cost possible fix. Reply back OP. Electronic tech. Skip |
Sounds like the exact same model we had with the same problem that we bought about the same time. Apparently there is some board that goes bad in it. We took it to a repair place and after them having it for a couple weeks told us they couldn't get the board new anymore and I didn't want a used replacement piece. Off to Best Buy and got a 65" Nano Cell LG TV. Used our AmEx card to double the warranty. Plus able to get rid of the Fire Stick and a remote.
