You got your money’s worth from the 2010 television. Buy new.

I did the unplug thing with mine too - it worked! Unit was about 2-3 yrs old.
I had also an extended warranty. LG installed a new circuit board anyway.

Wildwood ACE hardware used to repair TVs. Not sure if they still offer the service.
They replaced a power board in a Samsung for under $100.
Much cheaper than replacing the TV.

Default No sound no screen

[QUOTE=Ktclose@comcast.net;2058548]No sound, no screen. Researched LG site to trouble shoot. In the end recommended needed a LG service person. It’s a 55” purchased in 2010. Any recommendations or maybe just time for a new. (Happened after I changed out my wi-if modem/router) Thanks[/QUOT

Turn off power button in back 10 seconds or unplug, turn back on. on remote control go to menu in setup follow directions. try calling LG they will help.

Default If you want privacy then don't buy a smart TV

I read that Vizio makes a majority of it's profit from user data. This is like the cheap razor/ pricey blade marketing strategy but in this case you are the blade.

Glad to see some reasonable ‘repair’ suggestions, before you spend your $$$$$ …

Off to best buy and got a 65" nano cell lg tv. Used our amex card to double the warranty. Plus able to get rid of the fire stick and a remote.
i have same tv. Their io system has issues with other software applications like nfl ticket, play store etc. Most say they are working these kinks out. Well see.

Exclamation

Time to visit Sam's Club, Costco, or Amazon.
Even if you get it repaired there's no guarantee it will last mor than a year.
