Probably best bet is the Apple store in Ocala. I know UBreakIFix in the Publix mall on 466 is very good, at least with iPads. Can always call them and see if it is something they can do. They’re good about telling you if it is worth the cost of repairing.

I second UBreakitIFix on Wedgewood Lane. They have fixed both my laptop and iPhone.

If it is a software issue and your imac is less than 6 years old the Apple Store will fix it for free.

If it is hardware issue, they will diagnose and give you a firm estimate for the repair.

I had a strange issue with one of my computers...a 5 year old imac, had a fusion drive and the thing kept crashing totally every month or so. Found out the SSD drive was failing...(very rare) they were able to circumvent the SSD drive and just use the 1 TB SATA drive and were able to install the newest OS on it with no problems. Each time until the SSD drive failed completely they did not charge me one cent.

I think I would always go to the Apple Store first and at least get an estimate....if you do not like the price, you can go somewhere else and at least you would know the issue and cost....and like I said, if they do not need to open it up and fix a hardware issue, it is no charge.....
