Default Computer screen jumping

I have a desktop computer, Windows 7. The screen started jumping randomly after a Windows update. This happened for both Internet and Microsoft Office programs. I first tried a different mouse. Then I did a system restore and it was OK. Unfortunately I did not cancel automatic updates and it started again after another Microsoft update. This time I can't get Windows restore to get back to that point. I am so frustrated. Any suggestions?

Check your mouse driver to see if it is up to date. Also, I thought that I just saw an announcement that there no more updates for Windows 7, not sure about this. If I remember correctly (and I have never done this), I thought you could go back to an earlier stable system using the restore and an earlier setpoint. I will defer to some of the other computer experts.

I had the "screen jumping" problem some time ago. It turned out to be my keyboard; a new one solved the problem.

I have one program on my computer that "jumps", and the mouse pointer disappears, but when I adjust the size of the window down it stops. I think it's a problem with the display settings. I got it to stop once by adjusting the display properties, but I don't remember what I did.......

Thanks for the responses. I am fairly certain the problem was caused by the updates but still searching for a solution.
