I don't believe there were PC's in 1976.

I believe the first "personal computers"...Apples, Commodores, et. Al....came out right about 1976. IBM put one out...not yet called the "PC"...even a bit earlier. |
Since so many recommended Cfl Geek, I thought I'd give them a try. I can't be happier with the results. My computer was cleaned up of so much spyware, it works like a brand new computer. The appointment was made promptly (next day). Brian arrived at scheduled time and is probably one of the most knowledgeable techs I have used since moving to the Villages. I believe I've had four. So in closing, I too, want to highly recommend Cfl Geek.

CFL Geek - great work, thank you!
Brian from CFL Geek did a great job for me yesterday with a wi-fi connection. Excellent work, nice guy and will certainly call them again.
And: I found out that Brian, and probably the other geeks, is very knowledgeable with wi-fi connections to the TV; i.e. Amazon Fire, Hulu, Netflex - and on and on. |
Computer guy not to use
I had Tom Damato from tomspcepair@yahoo.com work on my computer and he sated that if he can't fix a computer nobody can, well he didn't and I suggest everyone don't use him. I have been trying to get some compensation from him without any success. Please nobody use this so call Computer Tec.

As I lived through most of the Personal Computer revolution, here are some of my recollections. I began my journey with computers in 1976 by learning to program a Wang 2200 T then MVP mini system using Wang basic. The Apple II first appeared in 1977 and was difficult to obtain because of tight supplies. I purchased one in late 78.
I began selling the Atari 400 and 800 computers against the Apple systems in 1980 as Apple wouldn’t let me sell their systems in the small community of Urbana. In 1983, I had great success selling the CP/M based Kaypro II against the Osborne. I continued sell the Kaypro models including the IV, 10, Robie and Kaypro PC until they were killed by the IBM PC with DOS which was first introduced in 1981. It brings back memories of an exciting time that I was privileged to enjoy. However, I am looking forward to my retirement from my small computer shop in the same location where it all began some thirty or more years ago. |
