By now, I assume you have followed some of the advice and purchased a new keyboard.
They're CHEAP, and they do tend to wear out anyway. A stuck key is often the cause of a computer continually beeping, because as noted, the buffer is full and you're still 'typing'. No installation or configuration is necessary - just plug it in. Bobbie2836 |
thanx for the belated reply...i had an old keyboard laying around so i plugged it in and whalah! thought santa might bring a new one - but he didn't :( will be in the villages soon - on the laptop, so the board is not an issue for the time being. and it gives me something to shop for if i run out of other stuff to buy! lol
