WE WERE TOLD BY COMCAST TECHS THAT THE FREQUENCY COULD NOT BE CHANGED. THAT WAS THE ONLY FREQUENCY THEY USED. IF WE STILL WANTED TO BE WIRELESS THEN WE WOULD HAVE TO CHANGE OUR PHONES TO ANOTHER FREQUENCY 900 GHz OR HIGHER. SO, WE STAYED HARD WIRED. HAVE TO MUCH INVESTED IN OUR PHONES TO CHANGE.

Well, there you go. You actually believed the ComCast Techs. Refer them to this FAQ on the ComCast.net site:

There are 11 channels to choose from. I will suggest 11. While I don't use ComCast's wireless modem/router, I'm pretty sure all WIFI systems use the same 11 channels.

I just changed from Embarq 1.5 to 3.0 and what a difference, that package is 50.00 per month for phone and internet as long as you have it. Also changed from Embarq securiy to AVG to increase speed. Now thinking of going to 5.0. Does anyone have any advise?

I have embarq but I use Mozilla Firefox for a browser and is it ever fast.
