Yes, avoid Comcast... I just moved and with so much happening, I was lazy and switched service to the new address. Customer Service, and installer were a nightmare.

Love them or hate them but Comcast has the fastest most stable IP transport available without question.

You can bundle DirecTV and Centurylink Internet for a small price reduction.

Thanks. I had not read that. I think I will stay with what I have as I am happy and anytime I have to call Xfinity to change something I worry. If it ain;'t broke, don't fix it :)

BTW, for pricing just go to

Comcast Official Site: Cable TV, Internet, and Phone Service Provider and select Internet.

I wonder if you have Extreme (105mb) or just a great connection? I have Blast (50mb) and consistently get high 50s download, 11-14mb+ upload.

Not sure this will help, It is hard to tell cost of just Internet for me.

I have X1, 220 channels, DVR, second X1 box and DTA, Blast for Internet for $117 + taxes. This is a first year cost. I forget what it rises to

you are right....I have extreme 105....used to have blast :0000000000luvmyhors

"blast" is 50 mbs unless you still have one of the older genration modems. Then you will only get 23-25 mbs....and be paying for blast speeds.

Comcast has offered a new modem that will take the speeds up to 50 if that is what one is paying for.
I do not like their new modem as it has wifi built in. I do not want to give up my existing router and MY PERSONAL, SECURED wifi network.

Comcast customer service said they will disable their built in wifi and the new modem can be used with my existing router.

I am waiting for the new device to be delivered. Then we will see if it can be used as stated.

I really do not have major complaints about Comcast except for there is very little consitency with what their representatives will tell me. Except for that I have no problem with the cable or high speed network or their response to correcting an issue.

I think I am downgrading to comcasts lowest speed and lowest price fo $30 a month for a 25 mb download speed. I can us a patch cable to my roku and patch directly to my laptop. Everything I read seems to point at needing only 5 mb for roku and netflix.

I don't watch sports all that much and when I do I can usually find an online source.

This will save me quite a bit that I will spend on other online services i will use like photoshop or amazon and offline stuff like having someone else cut my lawn.
