Default I pad/wifi issues

Is there a good ipad tech in or near the villages? I am having problems with my ipad 2 wifi connectivity. It keeps losing the connection. I have rebooted etc to no avail.
Thanks.

Are you sure it's your iPad? Checked your wifi quality?

Do a reset. Hold the home and power button down at the same time until it resets.

Try the iPad club. They can help. If it is a hardware issue take it to "YOU BREAK I FIX" in Southern Trace. There are a lot of tech people here in The villages who can help. For in home assistance, call Jeannine Petrilak at 352-840-3412 (C) or 352-897-1655 (H). I know more folks too that will help you. BTW, they do charge a fee.

It's not your iPad, it's your router. Try moving it 90 degrees, or to the room you are in.

Thank you so much, Joel. I have been ready to pitch the ipad 2 but simply turning the router has improved my connectivity by at least 85 to 90 %. Do u think we should get a new router? We have wifi with brighthouse at this point. Any thoughts would be appreciated!!

If Brighthouse charges you for the router, then you could save money by buying a new one, but if for ANY reason you have connectivity problem, Brighthouse will blame your router. If you own the router and it is more than 10 years old then a new one would be in order.

Seems that you have solved the problem. I was going to suggest you go to a public hot spot (maybe a fast food restrurants) to see if you have the same problem.

I have been having trouble the past 3 days with my desktop computer. Can get on the internet sporadically. It has even gone out while reading a web page; Says wi-fi connectivity problem. We checked all plugs but keeps happening. As a matter of fact, I just tried signing on to TOTV with IE and Chrome; got message "page could not be found". Then tried Mozilla Firefox and got in. That's how I was able to ask this question. Any (simple) suggestions? I am not computer savvy.

Had similar problem - researched and found that USB 3 devices can interfere with 2.4GHz. Found a 5 GHz USB dongle on web for around $10, also bought a 6" USB 3 extension cable to move my hub away from computer. Instantly solved the problem. Make sure your router has a 5 GHz output before doing all this.
