Default iPad Question

I like to type texts from my iPad as I have a great keyboard and it is so much easier. However, when I send texts to two people the texts don't go through. I assume they have Android phones. One of these people is my Villages property manager! So, some of the texts are lengthy.

I can get around this but it's takes some time! I send myself an email with the text that I want to send to these people. When I get the email, I copy and paste the message and send them a text from my iPhone 7 Plus. It works, but why do I have to do this?!?!?

Is there a simpler way to send these people texts?

Sable99,
Check your settings on your Ipad or email service to see if you have a setting for plain text, I am guessing that you are using Rich Text or HTML or something else that is not compatible with the users device. I have this happen occasionally, so I have my system set for the plain text option.
Hope this helps.

I must be missing something. I don't see anything about changing the text in settings. I have an iPad Pro. Thanks so much.

Which text messaging app are you using?

If you are using "Messages" on IOS that will only work to another Apple product.

If you are texting to Android then you need a more general app (like WhatsApp) that will text any type of phone/tablet/computer.

I am using "messages" that comes with my iPad. What I can't understand is why I can message them from my iPhone Plus 7 but not my iPad Pro.

Another thing that bugs me is that my iPad no longer remembers user names and passwords for TOTV, Amazon or QVC. But, my iPhone remembers this same information. (I got both the iPad and iPhone about 6 weeks ago. Before that I had an IPad 3 and iPhone 5s.)

I've never heard of WhatsApp. I guess I will have to check it out!

Any help would is appreciated!
