Default Laptop Battery

Anyone have a suggestion of a web site for laptop battery replacement? Don't really want to spend $130.

I agree. Have purchased many items on ebay and if you are careful and check the sellers feedback you can get just about anything you need there

Try www.ebatts.com - That's where I found a battery for a Dell notebook.

I am looking myself. The best I have found is $109 for my machine. E-bay is nice but they are probably used also and that is what you have.

Think new.

Try this link to a seller on Ebay. Sells in lots of 5 each and all batteries are new Seller has excellent feedback plus he has a guarantee on his sales.

After doing some research, it seems that when you BUY the battery the clock is ticking. If you buy five of them they are starting to go at the same time. Unless you have four other users of the same battery you are not getting a real deal.

That is just what I found from researching laptop batteries. If it is wrong let me know. Please back up your reasoning.

Thanks folks for the advice. Got up the other morning only to be told by my wife that "BTW, I ordered a battery off the i-net last night." Don't know from who or the exact price. Think she said $86. Waiting for arrival now. Will let all know how much and where from upon receipt. Thanks again.

True. As soon as the battery is made (usually in China) it starts wearing out (use or no use). I just bought a "replacement" 66WHr Li-Ion battery for my Dell Lattitude C810 from Level 8 Technology in Ft. Worth, TX. for $36.95 plus $9.99 S&H, with a 1 year warranty, arrives in 2 days. (BTW - Dell brand batteries sell for $140.)

I expect it to last exactly 1 year and 1 day like everything else I buy with a warranty.

I ended up going to Kahlon. I got the High Performance Lithium Ion Main Battery Pack for Hewlett-Packard Pavilion Notebook dv8210us MH Rating: 4400mAH for $109 plus 1G of membeory for $68.

What do I do with the old battery? Save it for a short term backup?
