I have a little experience with StarLink and it was flawless. It was from one of the kids travel trailers. Used it for 3 days with no issues. If xfinity screws up that’s my next move for sure. I wouldn’t go to Verizon for free and don’t really have a great feeling about any other service. StarLink, expensive but reliable. We have no trees!

Default Cut the cord

I used all the cable companyS and finally cut the cord 5 years ago. I use spectrum for internet and like them. No problems so far and price remains the same. Went up after a year and now stayed.

Considering a change to Century Link for computer ... or possibly stay with Xfinity for that ???
However, for streaming we would like all football, basketball and baseball.
NFL, NBA and college. We like HGTV, Hallmark, Fox News and Weather Channel.

Someone told me that they had ALL the sports and other channels that we like
for just $39 but that was when we did not think we needed it. Xfinity prices have
gone up again !

Please tell me your experiences . THANK YOU

That's odd, Xfinity has been nearly rock solid for me for over two years. What did they say when you called them about the issues you are having?

SO many responses ..thank you . Will be checking Century Link against Xfinity ... for internet. Century Link offers a life time price which sounds great to me. Xfinity has a habit of increasing prices in their 2 yr contracts. Probably will do Roku to get YouTubeTV which has all the channels that my husband needs.
Blessings to all of you in your searches. Oh Yes. I really appreciated suppose.tv.

Default ROKU Experience

We have been using Roku to stream for a couple of months now. We notice that periodically a program will freeze on the screen but will continue playing audio. Has anyone else experienced this. Seems to be random and not related to a specific TV. We have excellent connectivity and Xfinity Fast internet so we get no buffering issues. Just wondering if this is a quirk with Roku or if other streaming devices have the same issue.

Using the Roku remote, go to "settings", "network", and "check connection".

Also, I would do an internet speed test using a smart phone or tablet. But, it sounds like the problem is with the incoming streaming program, not Roku.

How does Troy Comuters provide internet service? Are they a middleman for a big internet provider or do they somehow have the service themselves? Is it wifi? Thanks, We are looking for an internet company as new Villagers.
