With Verizon, you are able to check you data usage, throughout the month. You might be surprised just how much 2GB is. I use my phone a lot [for data] and I never come close to that number. I don't watch a lot of videos, but I use GPS, email, messaging, web, etc. I also have an unlimited Verizon plan, but I don't really need it.

So, my point is: The unlimited issue might not really be an issue for most of us.

Anyone having issues with the yellowish screen tint?

Updates

Frank!

The HTC Incredible Droid's are going bye bye when Jan 21 renewal time comes around. Verizon is our carrier and they are all over TV. I have unlimited 3 G Data now.

A IPad will most likely be next. Now 3G or just wireless is still a ping pong game in my mind. Could use help from all ! I on't think I need a 3 G model with the wireless available.

Then the 8 year old Desk Top and Laptops will be donated for Tire chalks and a Mac Book Pro will take over.

I am on the edge but I feel a new 4 G Iphone and a Better Ipad are just around the corner.

Any insight people? Or should I not wait!

My 2 cents. IPad with 3G AND wireless. There will come a time when one or the other isn't available. You'll want them.

There will always be something new just around the corner, so you cannot always "wait". That being said, I many times use this website to track updates, etc....I've seen too many folks go buy a new mac when it was widely known that the newer model was coming out like the next day....

Looks like the ipad3 will not be out for at least 3 months I'm guessing. I too have gone between the wifi version and the 3g version.....I have an iphone, so I believe I can tether if I need to but still have not really looked into it yet. I do not really want to pay for home internet, data plan for my iphone, AND a plan for an ipad....at some point it just seems redundant.

Right now because of the move I'm down to just having my macbookPro and my iphone4. I'll need another mac for the wife, just do not know what yet.

With the move a know there will soon be a buying spree in my near future....I need to buy another car or truck, a new mac, I want to upgrade my golf cart to a newer one, my wife wants a new vaccuum cleaner and new pots/pans, and I still need to build my new garage and lanai addition. I guess with a new address you buy new stuff.....

Sorry to go off topic.....

Frank

Talk about going off topic......it's raining like CRAZY here in WNY, Frank!

I went swimming this morning and forgot my iPhone. Our pool is 10 miles away. I felt so lost....

I started swimming and the battery in my swimming iPod went out. What's a swimmer to do? :)

My iPad is great.....and I AM SO SPOILED! These gadgets are so useful and FUN!

This is oner of the best phones that I have had. I have no problems with it. Siri works well and saves on typing. Amazing phone.

Droid to Iphone

My Verizon Rep who uses a IPhone looked at me and said, your going to be bored with a IPhone Herv.

Bought my Dad one and he had it three days and wanted his Droid back?

I have no idea why because all I have ever used is a Droid.

Frank others any clues? Is the 4G vs IPhone 3G?

Just gathering Data because in Feb we are geting one or the other? With the wifes new IPad I figured a IPhone would play nice with it?

Now back to killing malare!

Love my new Samsung Galaxy SII android smartphone. I use the voice feature to compose emails and it works surprisingly well. My son got me a Kindle Fire for Christmas so now I'm on a double learning curve.

Siri was free to use on the Itouch before Apple bought it to use on the Iphone. I miss it because it is amazing.

Herv,
My one son has a iphone4s and the other two boys have droids. I have never had a droid so I could not comment....but I would think that with a wife having an ipad, you going with a mac w/lion (very ios5-like) if you went with the iphone4s you could all do facetime, etc.
I would favor the iphone if only for Siri......I could see advantages to all being with ios5 with facetime, apps, etc.....

sralph99 06-19-2012 10:49 PM

I got rid of Sprint because I couldn't pick up a good signal especially in Lake Sumter. Switched to Verizon and it works great.
