Huh? Windows 11 is the latest version of Windows. Why would you want to delete the update fiIes?

I don't know if you mean the files that would allow you to revert back to Windows 10 or the files that were used to install Windows 11 but in either case, I deleted mine after about a month and have had no problems so far.

He asked two questions.

Question 1 I don't know if you mean the files that would allow you to revert back to Windows 10

Question 2 or the files that were used to install Windows 11 but in either case, I deleted mine after about a month and have had no problems so far.

Which was your question?

You said there was no problem to deleting them. Is there a benefit to deleting them?

Disk space. They were stored on my C: drive which is a SSD for speed but limited in space.

How much do you save? I just upgraded to Windows 11 about a month ago. The only thing that I noticed was that it changes a lot of the way I interface with my computer!

Run Disk Cleanup and be sure to check the option to clean up system files.

It will determine the amount of space used by several categories of files; one of those will be upgrade files. It will not remove anything unless you tell it to. I use it primarily to see how much space is being used.

Be careful cleaning up Recycle Bin files since once you do this you cannot recover that file you accidentally deleted last week.
