Default Outlook express problems

Does anyone have a suggestion why my outlook express will not let me log in? I have had the same username and pasword for years.... suddenly my password isn't recognized and I can't log in. I'm in "crisis mode" without my e-mail.

Thanks

Try going directly out to the service (the part after the @ sign) For example if you have a comcast account go directly to comcast.net and sign on to the e-mail. Your username is the part before the @comcast.net and your password should be known by you.

If that works then the issue is outlook express and we can go from there. But first try logging into the source account (comcast, verizon, etc.) If you can't log in directly then the issue is with your provider and not Outlook.

My server is ptd.net. I can get onto www.ptd.net with no problem. I cannot get into my webmail thru ptd.net or my outlook express account. I have tried to access from 3 different computers with no luck. Someone told me "my password was corrupted"???? (whatever that means) Thanks for your help

I called Roger a fellow Villager who is a retired Information Technology professional. He sets up hardware, wireless networks and troubleshoots all the software. He's extremely knowledgable and has been able to fix all my computers "ills". You can reach him at 352 638-2954. If he can't fix it...it probably can't be fixed !!

Why don't you call your email provider and ask them to reset your password? That would be the easiest choice.
