Programs Closing by themselves

Bought a new Sony Vaio back in October...everything was great until about a month ago then my email program Outlook 2003 and my browser started acting funny. Shutting down by themelves..browser hangs up sometimes when starting...email loads on clipboard by itself..etc...very annoying...got any ideas??
