This may not help you now but perhaps it will in the future. The last time I had a Windows machine, I had it create restore points every day. In case of an issue, I could boot into safe mode and then pick a restore point (by date) from which to restore to. You are essentially rolling back to a previous (working) system state. Also, Windows machines used to (perhaps still do) have a hidden partition on the hard drive from which you can reinstall the original version of Windows after booting into safe mode. I now have a "Windows free" environment and do the same thing with an iMac via Time Machine. I recommend turning off automatic updates.

The Apple prices are a bit higher than a comparable Windows box. They appear to be much higher because Apple doesn't make any low end machines (i.e. if you compare the lowest cost Apple to the lowest cost PC you will see a big difference but the machines will not be comparable).

Click on next, then choose the USB where the file would be burn 7. Wait for the Download to complete then follow the steps below. Change the Boot priority from to USB 1. Plugged in the USB 2. Turn off PC, then while restarting it please press f2 repeatedly 3. Then choose the boot priority to USB 4. Then follow the following steps below to reinstall windows 8 or 10 How to Clean install windows 8 or 10 1. Keep the USb plugged in 2. Restart the PC 3. Once the Manufacturer's logo appeared, press any keys. 4. Choose language, time and currency format and Keyboard input method. 5. Choose Install 6. Enter or Skip the Activation part. 7. Biker Dog can not post anywhere on here since the first post concerning this problem. He has sent tickets request to the Admin and received no reply.
He has tried everything suggested here, but with the blue screen after "Advanced Option" he can not get on line at all. Thanks and he will try the Villages Computer Club. |

I'll be at Eisenhower 1PM Monday the 21st.
I'll have my Chromebook there. Come see what a simple, safe and secure laptop looks like. Never got a virus, never have to wait for a new version update or download. Boots up in seconds, battery lasts 8-10 hours. IT JUST WORKS! Last edited by JoelJohnson; 05-15-2018 at 09:20 AM. |
