Default Anyone have Pelican Water Filtration

Looking at water filtration systems (not water softeners) and looking for a real review. Thanks.

We have Pelican. Bought it over the phone from the company May 2013. Phone representative was very helpful. I believe delivery was in 2 days by FEDEX. You can install yourself but we asked representative for plumbers in our area who would install. They gave us 3 names. We called one and arranged to have it installed. Don't remember who did install or how much. My husband had to soak the charcoal filter tank and flush before the plumber could install. Instructions seemed very straight forward. He just used the garden hose. Very pleased with this filtration system. No more chlorine in the water and no more build up of lime on the faucets. We bought the extra pre-filter kit and have done our first pre-filter change. Boy, the pre-filter was nasty looking after 6 mos. of use! We have the system with a pre-filter, charcoal filter tank and another tank big enough for a 3 bedroom 2 bath home. Hope this helps.

I have a GE sysem thru TAS Environmental. Great company/great product. It does have a softener system but does not have softening residue.
