Default Green Solutions FL

I was approached by this company, the card states, "Certified Insurance Advocate" and "Certified GAF Solar Shingle provider".
Has anyone actually dealt with the company? I postponed the meeting as he was talking about an energy audit, asking about the age of the roof etc. This started to look like a potential high pressure sales for stuff I do not need.
I contacted Seniors Against Crime and they never heard of the company, the BBB has no information, and a web search only provides some articles that appear to be written by the man at the door.
Does anyone have any info on this company?

How were you approached? Did he actually come to your door and you talked to him? You actually agreed to a meeting then had to postpone it? Then you spent time checking them out and now are asking questions to check them out some more. What am I missing?

There was some confusion, my wife agreed to the visit, I am much more cautious and wanted to check them out before allowing an UNKNOWN person to check out our house inside and out. Also, some of the comments he made sent up red flags to me, specifically one about assisting on roof damage, as I know our roof is fine.

A BIG thank you for the replies, I am running as fast as I can, the replies verified all of the red flags I saw in the few minutes the guy was at the front door.

As OP stated they claimed to be a "Certified Insurance Advocate". I would certainly be leery. I don't think this is a legit certification. This Florida agency looks out for this kind of stuff.

What do these certified credentials mean? What are the requirements to obtain them?

Is this the company?

I did finally get on the BBB website (it was down), this company has a lot of complaints, and it seems my red flags are warranted, I am cancelling any future requests for meetings, estimates, etc.

Another reason not to answer the door or conduct unsolicited business on the front porch.

Coming from the energy business, whenever I hear the word “green” , I immediately think green from my wallet to theirs.
