Any advice on a new washer and dryer? I like the drop in clothes on top kind but looking for high efficiency. I've always had Sears and got a top model. Now there are too many choices. I'm going crazy!!!!

I purchased my third set of Kenmore's 4 years ago and bought the HE3 front loaders because of consumer reports recommendation. They are more energy efficient and use less water. I did by the pedestals since it is easier on the back. I just read another report yesterday from Consumer Reports and said the same thing more energy efficient and use less water for the front loaders. I did buy Kenmore because I have never had a problem with them. Only thing I might change is buying on of the steam dryers. It may take awhile for this set to wear out since like I said third set in 42 yeas of marriage. Sears does have some good sales going on right now too. I hope this helps and it is just my humble opinion.

I recommend a stream, large rock and a clothesline!

Sorry dear, just trying to stretch those retirement dollars.
And I guess all these would not get through the covenant control police.

Bob S, I see you are Judy S's other half. Seeing you like the stream, large rock and clothesline model....I would suggest Judy let YOU do the laundry

I will probably be banished to that task for at least 5 years. I better give up golf.

Bob and I bought the washer and dryer - and the dryer has steam - thanks for tip. My goal when Bob retires is to teach him how to do laundry and cook something besides egg.
