Default Favorite TV shows in jeopardy

Did you know that Dish customers may lose Fox network on Nov. 1 if negotiations fail between Dish and Fox? That means no more House, Bones, Fringe, Family Guy and other favorite shows.

Maybe I'm just skeptical (or cynical) but Time Warner has been using this ploy for years, usually with Disney, and after negotiations have successfully concluded, they slip in another price increase.

I'm with Kayaker -- had the same thought. Just another excuse to raise the rates.

I believe its the same story here in CT as Cablevision has ads saying that Fox network will be unavailable if an agreement is not reached.

Several months back, the Food network and HGTV channels were stopped for a while as they hammered out the negoiation.

I think it will be done as customers would complain loud and long as Fox is a big sports channel in addition to the shows mentioned. The world series may be still going on by November 1 not to mention football. What a negotiation tactic to renew one's contract at this time.

It's all about renenues received that will be passed onto customers.

I hope they lose Fox. I am looking for a good reason to dump Dish. I hate their service. We constantly lose the sat signal.
