Default Bulk meats butcher and other

So, has anyone found a bulk meats butcher shop anywhere around here within 50 miles or so ? We love to cook (still) and miss our northern butcher shops for meats and poultry at very reasonable prices per pound. We have found nothing even remotely close to what is available in New England for quality and price. Where do meat lovers from around central FL go ?

I agree, we miss our local butchers and farmers markets in PA but it is what it is. There are only two of us so we no longer buy in bulk and are close to a Publix so when we decide what to cook we buy for the meal. I have had folks recommend Belleview Meat and Seafood in Belleview although I have no direct experience.

I have been to Florida Fresh Meat Company that is near the corner of HWY 484 and Hwy 475. They are a full service butcher where you can purchase any amount up to a side or whole beef. I have only purchased sausage from them at this time as my freezer is full, but they process the animal at their facility next to the butcher shop. They are only open during the week, but I think you might want to make the drive, it is not far. Basically up 75 to the Don Garlits exit.

Good Morning--You might try Fresh Market on 466. I've had good luck there. I've heard of a Meat Market on 301 in Wildwood but have not been there myself & don't know the name of it.

The shop in Wildwood is Best Meats. That is where we get all of our meat now. It is organic and very affordable.

Default The 19th Wholesale

You can buy bulk frozen seafood from 19th Wholesale 772-812-7608. Smallest purchase is 6 pounds but also carries pork, chicken and beef but they have to be purchased by the case (ten pounds).

There is a huge meat market in Leesburg: Leesburg Supermarket House of Meat. 352-365-6960. I found it accidently while driving around. They have been in business 17 years and do not advertise...use only word of mouth. Address: 900CR-468, Leesburg.
