Have him try different sets at Birdie Golf on 466 or Evan Watts or the different country clubs like Palmer.
Then keep an eye on overstock.com to find them less expensive.
I got a set of Ladies Tour Edge high loft set for $219.00 no tax, free shipping and the stores and other websites wanted $399.

Always loads of clubs for sale on this site, if he doesn't need them to be completely unused

Has he been golfing for a while, or relatively new at it and taking the game up...because you're moving here?

If he's been golfing for a while, he might think about going somewhere reputable, either there or here....and spend the time & effort in getting 'fitted' for a set of clubs.

If he's new to the game, waiting until he gets here and then looking for those who took up golf when they got here, but decided it wasn't for them...may be a better choice in picking up a set of 'almost new' clubs.

As mentioned above, there are LOTS of clubs for sale here in the..."largest single concentration of golf holes on the planet."

Good luck.

First of all you need to determine how much you want to spend then get fitted. Getting fitted with the correct clubs is very important. Go to Sarasota golf store and they will get you the right clubs

Default golf clubs

Thanks all. He's a long time golfer, but Midwest weather and rural area -- golfing regularly very seasonal. He was just wondering if club prices tend to be lower / higher where golfing allowed year-round. Or if like buying lobster -- always higher at ocean restaurants than Midwest.
