Default Canceling TV, Internet, Phone Services

We currently have CenturyLink for phone and internet service with Direct TV. Made decision to switch to Xfinity (Comcast) for all three. My question to someone who might have done this already is after the switch how do I minimize double billing? I have 2 seven year old boxes, dish, and post from Direct TV. Where and how do I turn them in? As far as Centruy Link do I just call them on the day I change over and cancel? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You go to the Comcast store, tell them you want their services, and they will be more than happy to help you with the details.

Contact Centurylink early, they are slow and it takes about 2 weeks to get disconnected from them. This personal experience, from putting them on vacation (pause), it takes about 2 weeks to get reconnected and back on vacation.

For DirecTv call and they will ship boxes to you so you can return everything in their special boxes. The do not take back the Satellite or remove it from your roof.

CenturyLink was off the next day and I owned the modem. Good luck

Guard any UPS OR USPS receipt carefully for months so you have proof.

We were planning to switch from Comcast to CenturyLink and Direct TV when we return to The Villages.
Have you had problems?
