Default Venting Stove/Micro to outside home

There are a few posts regarding venting stove and microwave fan to outside, but does not mention if anyone has had it done. We want to know if anyone has done this, and who did they have do the job. We are in a patio villa and the fan just recycles through a filter at the present time.

I changed my non vented range hood to a vented unit, then ran ducting through shelving to a dryer vent I installed through the side of the house. I made sure there were not dips in the ducting plus had a good slope back to the range hood to disallow any formation of "internal ducting grease puddles".

Wasn't hard but took guts to cut the hole in the side of the house. Took about 4 hours by myself.

Took care of the smells that never went away no matter how many times I washed the filter in the non vented hood.

Any handyman should be able to handle this installation as long as there is no interference from pipes or wiring in the wall. You will need an electrician to get power to the unit if it is hard wired or there is no plug nearby.
