We are using T&D. They are probably the largest contractor out here. No more expensive than any other. We are very pleased with their sales team (a member of this family owned business). They've been around forever.

We just had full length glass sliders installed from Custom Windows and are very happy with them.

Recently had someone tell me T&D's quote was almost $40k higher than 2 other contractors for their $27K project. Shop around - T&D does good work but are riding The Villages gravy train just like The Villages golf cart stores. There are better deals out there with comparable if not better work - don't be fooled by the hype.

Be sure to get an estimate from Elite Lifestyle. They will do a great job.

Thumbs up Brian Freitag

I had Brian Freitag enclose my lanai. He did a wonderful job....did a lot of extras that I hadn't seen before in an enclosed lanai. Everything he did was "top shelf". He even put in a beautiful fireplace as well as diagonal tile, beveled window sills, etc.

He used to work for TV so I called TV for a referral and they gave him an excellent recommendation. His phone number is 352-516-0668.

Priced them all and used Thumper's Thumper's Retractable Screen Doors they do a lot more than those screen doors. More important than anything, the installer's work is clean and neat and he answers every question you might have; appts are kept as scheduled - no excuses; go above and beyond to tweak as necessary at no add'l cost; and follow-up is the best!

When enclosing a Lanai, think about how to ventilate it to prevent overheating (in that enclosed space) - in the Summer. It can become a problem when you go on vacation and are not around to open the doors to ventilate - when necessary. Lanai tiles can lift if they can't expand when they get hot.

We are very pleased with our lanai enclosure by Custom Windows & Exterior Design of Leesburg. Have recommended them to many friends and all are happy. They have a showroom in Leesburg off of 441 you can visit. They have a 1/2 page ad in the newspaper almost every day.

T&D Screen Enclosures, Inc. They did a great job for us. They level the cement floor so you aren't on a slant and your lanai floor is made level with the house. They don't rely on caulk and beads of cement to keep out the water and they can install exterior electrical outlets within code by putting in conduits under the lanai floor. They do a very professional job. You may have to wait a while to get an estimate as they are very busy.

While everyone has their own opinions and experiences, we went with KB Construction to replace the plastics windows in our linai with glass. Great job and easy to work with long distance. Call and talk to Kyle!
