Does anyone know of someone who can build shelves to go across the upper part of the garage maybe out of lumber? I want something real sturdy to hold paint cans, misc garage stuff want the stuff up off the floor. Don't want to use something flimsy that will sag down. Any references would be helpful.

Google overhead garage storage and you will see a number of products available either as a DIY or buy to have installed.

We have a block and stucco and the garage space was on the top of our list as we, like most, were leaving a garage AND a basement. He also added extra shelving at the top of all closets. He is so handy, that guy. I am so lucky to have him be fixin' things these last fifty years.

In the garage the wire shelves also work great for hanging clothes to dry as it's so hot in the garage. As Gracie said we to added shelves to all of our closets because you never have enough room. We also purge the closets once a year and donate the unused items.Discarded kitchen cabinets also work nice in the garage. Just a thought.

Cabinets mounted up high should have the weight on the studs not the trusses.
I use Jimbo construction ![]()
