Default Concrete work and hard landscaping

We are looking to enlarge our driveway and would like some suggestions as to who to hire. We also need to build some blocks around our garden. Any ideas?

Philip, under the heading of been there and done that please keep these items in mind:
1. You need ARC approval for these projects.
2. There is a permit required for driveway work, you get it from the Sumter County streets department, found this out the hard way.
3. There may or may not be building department permit(s) required depending on your specific project.
4. YOU should get or at a minimum VERIFY the ARC approval, YOU should NEVER get the other building permits.

We piggybacked on a neighbors project to do the driveway, theirs was a much smaller project (no permit required) ours did require the permit, but no building permits. I have heard many stories about driveway contractors doing the work and never getting permits, be aware this can catch up to you later with a complaint to ARC, or later when you sell and the buyer checks permits for improvements.

If you would like all of the gory details we can discuss over the phone.
