Default Contractor Recomendations

Any good contractor recommendations for double window removal and replacement with single window? Requires block work, outside stucco work and inside drywall work. Reasonable price and quick turnaround will be necessary.

Many of the window manufacturers have arrangements of installation, either their own people or contractors they normally use. It might be a good idea to check if the current center post is a structural member of the house, this might interfere with what you are trying to do. A previous house (not in TV) the way the windows were framed the center post provided support to the header across the top of the windows. I do not have a recommendation for a contractor sorry.

I made the assumption you were keeping the same size window opening, and just goind with a single larger window. I did not consider if you were making the opening smaller, sorry for any confusion.

Looking for a reasonable price and quick turnover? In addition this is a small job with 2-3 subs. Good luck in today's market.

Default Good luck on finding a Contractor

Started last Oct. looking for a contractor to do a relatively smaller expansion to our Lanai
including adding sliding windows w/ screens.
Found about 15 contractors to request bids from.
5 didn't even reply at all. Of the rest got some replies with hugely excessive bids. (Most seemed to be so booked that they really weren't interested in our request.)
All stated that they are booked way out, and that windows are many months out.
Finally found one that we contracted with, price was higher than we expected, but was still considered reasonable. They think the windows will ONLY be 3 months out.
We are seasonal and HOPE than this project can be completed before we head back
end of May. So far so good as ARC approved this project, but contractor doesn't
expect to be able to start until April.
Good luck on finding a contractor/window supplier with "quick turnaround".
