Can you get a decent size pool for $25,000? What did you pay and can you post the details

I don't know what you mean by "decent size" but the long and short of it is NO.

I agree. I paid $30000 with birdcage when I had the house built 14 years ago.

A vinyl pool maybe, concrete no. I know of no vinyl pools in
TV although I’ve been told they are built in Florida.

My next door neighbor received a quote last month for a 18 x 36 pool with birdcage, no wall from T&D. He told me it was 6 figures.

Yes but like a car, options could cost as much as the basic pool, and you probably won't want a basic pool By options I mean type and size of decking, edging, tile work, lighting, heating....

We had a 12 x22 pool, bird cage and solar heat put in 4 years ago for approx 45K. That did not include the landscaping, bird cage furniture etc.

We had one up north and the maintenance and cost to keep it crystal clean during heat waves was high. Can't imagine what it would be down here with the high temps that start in late May until October. Besides there's a pool every few blocks here and if you get pool priority the country club pools are hardly used.

T&D cleans our pool, filter, checks the water and adds chemicals as needed for $112 a month. Worth every penny. We us our pool daily and most evenings a dip before bed.

A boat is a money pit, a pool is cheap to run & maintain.

OP, your looking north of 60k for a pool at today’s prices. It can go up considerably from there. Many of us “have been there and done that” but to each his own. As others have mentioned, a pool not far away that you don’t have to care for is another factor and many like the socializing at the pools.

Here they’re called neighborhood pools, sports pools, family pools, sounds nice. In actuality their public pools, what has happened time and time again they are found unhealthful by the county inspectors.
