Lowes doesn't charge to deliver appliances, not sure about Home Depot. I looked at gas grills at both Home Depot and Lowes. They both wanted around $70.00 to deliver.

The delivery from Home Depot was indeed an appliance, a washer to be specific. When we bought our first grill from Lowes, hubby got it into the SUV, the grill was assembled. When we just bought our newest, smaller grill from Home Depot, we also got it into the back of the car, in one rather large box and we assembled it at home, well, hubby assembled it, I sort of helped, but not really... ;)

We ordered a 7 piece patio set from Home Depot. Rather than rent their truck and struggle with 2 very heavy boxes, we ordered it online and had it delivered free of charge to our front door. Most items over $49 and appliances over $298 are shipped free.
