Default Dryer Vent Cleaning Recommendation

We just moved into a home built in 1996 in Palo Alto The dryer vent goes through the roof. We recently had it cleaned by Wes Bastie of Clean Ducts. His number is 352-895-8599. Wes did everything that the more expensive companies promised for a lot less. $75. I had quotes of up to $195. Wes did an outstanding job and it was well worth the money. I would highly recommend this company. By the way you should have dryer vents cleaned every 2-3 years.

Go to Lowe's and buy a $32.00 linteater kit and do it yourself. I do mine every year and it takes about 30 minutes. Easy, easy. I can't believe people pay $80.00 and more to have this done

Ok,

but what if you are elderly and can’t reach the vent on the roof?

Tell them, Mrs. Gracie. Talk about great service. On time, $65 bucks and the clothes dry in half the time, no exaggeration.

We had a Dryer Fire two weeks before we bailed out of New Jersey because I was cutting corners. Never again, we are already scheduled for the next visit from Desmond. Not taking care of this maintenance item puts you and your home at risk. Look it up on YouTube.

Another vote for Covenant, Desmond and his crew do a great job, they also pressure wash and seal brick pavers and painted or textured driveways!!

I agree with Desmond as well. He come's to the house every six months. And if you have the batteries, they'll change out your smoke alarms!!!

Cleaning your dryer vent is a serious thing and most homeowners don't even realize that by NOT doing it, you run the risk of having a house fire.

As a matter of fact, cleaning the vent is not something most homeowners know needs to be done.

Better yet: install a dryer vent alarm and you will know when your dryer vent is getting partially blocked. Chances are you don't need an annual clean.

You have smoke detectors, why don't you have a dryer vent alarm?
