Default Exterior House Cleaning Price Increase!!!

Just an FYI. Just had my exterior cleaned and was informed that next year the price would be $10 higher which is a 16% increase over this years price. Yes they do a good job but a 16% increase seems a bit drastic. Seems to me many of these vendors are starting to maybe try to take advantage of people in The Villages. I took out the name of the vendor because it isn't only them. it is an overall observation.

"16% increase"...BUT when was the last time they took an increase? I looked at Egner's annual charge to me for house cleaning since 2010 (same house). In 2010 their charge was $62. On Monday of this week they did the annual wash - the price...$62! The US Inflation Calculator site calculated that a $62 price in 2010, adjusted for inflation, would be $71.40 in 2018 (and Egner's isn't increasing the price for another year).

I have no affiliation with them other than being a satisfied customer. I agree with you that they do a good job; their employees are courteous, neat, and, in my case, they don't step on the plants.

Well that business did my house and driveway this morning...$50 more than the price they charged last year!!!! Only thing different was the need to wash the ceiling in golf cart garage [slightly larger than the golf cart lol!]! Will call in the morning and advise that this was likely the last time they served us!

And the young man quoted us an estimate of $325 to have the roof of the house power washed! I don't think so! lol

We get Egner's (they do a great job) and we too were told a price increase for the next time. That was a handful of months ago. We don't have a large house so our costs aren't huge like someone else's quoted on here.

Just had my house washed by Egner's last week. They told me the price would $10 more next year. I signed up to get my house cleaned next year also also scheduled them to clean, sand and seal my paver driveway in a couple of weeks. Egner's does a great job.

The current job market makes it hard to get the workers these services need, I would not walk away from a good vendor. My neighbor wanted to sign up the the lawn company we use. They told her they could not take her on... they just can't get enough workers so they are not taking on additional customers at the present time.

We've used Egners for years and see no reason to change. $10 increase since 2011? Come on. They do a great job and are very dependable and the price is right, even with the increase.
