Default Moving Company Atlas Van Lines

The Villages had recommended Atlas as one of their "choice movers". We interviewed one other mover but went with Atlas. What a mistake! We moved from Maine and had to store our furniture in the Atlas warehouse, in Debarry, FL. When it arrived at our home, four monthes later, there was so much damage and four missing items. At least 20 items had to be repaired or replaced. They actually tried to "sneak" some damaged items by us. One antique had "Elmer's Glue" on one leg, The leg was broker off the table and the
Atlas people tried to fix it without telling us. The warehouse manager argued that we did not have missing items, even though the items were listed on their inventory sheet. A class act for sure.

They did have a good repair man and paid for the missing items. But what an awful experience that lasted over six months. It was criminal what they did to us. Hope this helps.

Default Atlas

We used Atlas to move from Indiana. Everything went perfectly. No damage. Pick-up and delivery were precisely on time. Nothing went to storage however.

Most of our excellent experience was due to the team that moved us. Careful, professional and easy to deal with. On the off-chance we ever move again, we will use no other team. I will provide their name and phone number in a reply to a PM.

Good luck.

They may be individually owned franchises so the "quality" could vary. We haven't used Atlas but some companies we have used were franchises. I believe most damage takes place from the loading/unloading associated with storage. Our move here was direct with no intermediate storage so we came through in good shape. I wonder if The Villages gets a "finders fee" for recommending them. Sorry to hear of your problems.

Default We liked Allied

We used Allied. Everything went smoothly. They even hauled my SUV in the tractor trailer with our belongings. We moved here from NYS.
