Default Florida Pest Control

Just closed on my house and wanted a refund from the termit bond paid 10/2018 through 10/2019.
Been with them since 2004 in Orlando.
NO refund for time remaining.
Are other pest control company the same?
Can’t recommend them with that kind of policy.

Just like your taxes were prorated, your termite bond should have been prorated. Your listing agent should have closed that loophole.

I don't know about other companies, but Massey, who has many termite contracts in The Villages, does not issue a "bond". They give you a contract that states that they will retreat and repair damage caused by termites. Apparently, you are dependent on Massey to fund any costs related to your house being damaged by termites. I think that their contract can be transferred to the new owner, buy I doubt that they will give you a prorated refund when you sell your house.
