He can be buried in the Veterans cemetary in Bushnell for free. I don't know the details, but they can assist you at the American Legion on Rolling Acres Rd.

I would suggest she talk to a reputable full service funeral home, like Beyers. Hey are a family run business and offer tremendous complimentary after death service and support. The can assist in arranging internment at the large military cemetery. They can arrange an appropriate non-religous military service.

Check out Baldwin Brothers.

The national cemetery at Bushnell is an impressive place. Not only do they provide the plot and actual burial, a group of retired, uniformed military provide the entire graveside service, including the “sermon”, bugler and ceremonial firing squad.
I’ve gone to funerals there where the procession of cars are lead from the local church or funeral home to the cemetery by a police escort. I think all the big local funeral homes know how to organize such a funeral. Or a call to the national cemetery office itself would get the widow-to-be started in the right direction. |

The least expensive place for a no frills direct cremation is Baldwin Brothers. If you want to use a funeral home, undoubtedly the best.place is Beyers.
