I got a much better deal on the opener from Amazon. I did my own installation in a couple of hours. The new opener is Mich lighter than the old one, and the center attachment from the old one, over the garage door, worked with the new one. It came with a downloadable video step by step instruction manual. The only trick was that the ceiling bracket for the old All Star was a bit too far back to mate with the mounting bracket on the new one. I had to purchase a piece of pre drilled steel from ACE hardware and a couple of stove bolts. Cut the steel bar into seven inch lengths, problem solved. |
